  • What is a POS terminal?

A POS is a device that enables customers make payments for goods and services at merchant locations or remotely via payment cards or other available options.

  • How can I request for a POS terminal?

You can request for a POS terminal by either visiting any of our branches to complete a request form or online through our Quick Service Portal.

  • How long does it take to deploy POS terminal(s) to merchants?

Turn Around Time (TAT) for Lagos is 5 working days, outside of Lagos is 10 working days

  • What is the expected minimum monthly turnover of merchants who require POS?

A minimum of N1,000,000 turnover is expected per month

  • Can a merchant have multiple POS machines?

Yes, a merchant with large area coverage or many cashier outlets with high turnover that is in multiples of N1,000,000 can have multiple POS Machines

  • Who are the target merchants?

Any established businesses or stores where there is trade of goods and service.

  • What if the cardholder's account is debited without approved receipt printed on the POS Terminal?

The cardholder should be advised to visit the nearest branch of his bank to lodge a chargeback complaint.

  • When do I get settled for transactions done on my POS?

Settlement is T+1 That is, (transaction day + 1 day) within 24hours
