Olu Delano has over 29 years’ work experience with all 29 years in the financial services industry. He worked for 15 years outside Nigeria in the United Kingdom and Canada with various Financial Institutions including NatWest Markets, Wachovia Capital Finance and BMO Bank of Montreal, Toronto, Canada as Director, Corporate Finance – Business Development, Senior Vice President, Asset Based Lending – Business Development/Underwriting and Senior Credit Analyst – Credit Risk Department before joining Stanbic IBTC Capital in 2009.

He joined Stanbic IBTC Capital in 2009 as Head, Diversified Lending and Leveraged Finance, where he was directly responsible for ensuring that the Diversified Lending and Leveraged Finance unit within the Investment Banking Division achieved a pre-established revenue and profit targets. He later joined the Client Coverage team of the Bank in 2014 and was Head of Client Coverage until early 2022, when he was appointed as Head of Consumer and High Net Worth Clients segment.

 Olu Delano holds a Master of Business Administration – Financial Management from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from University of Hull.  

He is a member of the Board Risk Management Committee.
