Before applying, make sure that you’ve contributed to your Retirement Savings Account (RSA) for at least 60 months. Note that all applicants must meet the minimum requirements set out by the National Pension Commission (PENCOM)
You will also need:
- A valid offer of sale letter from the seller
- A copy of the property’s title document
- Evidence of the requisite equity contribution
- Fees for Property Search, Verification, Charting and Valuation checks
Additional requirements for salaried applicants:
- Letter of Introduction from your employer’s HR department
- A copy of your National ID, driver’s license or international passport
- Last 3 months’ pay slips
- Last 6 months’ salary account bank statements (for new customers only)
- For joint applications, a letter of consent from your spouse
- If you are applying for a specialised mortgage, an endorsed Retirement Savings Account (RSA) statement
Additional requirements for self-employed applicants or business owners:
- Company Profile
- Last 3 years’ audited financial reports
- Cashflow projections
- Completed CO2 (Return of Allotment of Shares) or CO7 (Particulars of Directors) form
- Certificate of Registration or Incorporation
- Company’s account statements for the most recent 12 months (for new customers only)
- Competitive interest rate on your mortgage
- Due diligence and closing costs

- A search on the property’s title
- The verification of the property’s title
- The valuation of the property
